William Charles Ehlen was born on August 16, 1945, in Appleton, the son of Fred & Leola Ehlen. He grew up in Montevideo and graduated from the Montevideo High School. Bill served his country in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged in September of 1966.Bill worked numerous jobs: road construction,machinist at Plews in Granite Falls, Rosy's Supper Club in Montevideo and could be heard from all over the casino at Fire Fly Creek Casino as a dealer. He enjoyed spending time and fishing with family and friends on Lake Minnewaska, hunting, wood working, painting and telling jokes.He is survived by Son, Chris and wife Michelle Ehlen of Milaca and Daughter Kelly Ehlen-Kirschbaum of Madison, grandchildren Brianna and Makayla Ehlen, Mitchell and Samantha Ehlen and Trevor Kirschbaum, brother, Richard "Dick" and wife Ruth Ehlen of Eden Prairie, nieces Cindy Ehlen and Cathy Puffett and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents Fred and Leola Ehlen, brother David Ehlen and son-in-law Kelly Joe Kirschbaum.
