Wanda Kraakaas, age 81, passed away at the Granite Falls Hospital on April 21, 2020. A private family burial was held at the Stony Run Cemetery in rural Granite Falls.
Wanda Theola Kraakaas was born on September 2, 1938 in Clarkfield, Minnesota the daughter of Elvin and Thea (Anundson) Kraakaas. She grew up on the family farm and received her education, graduating from the Granite Falls High School with the Class of 1956. Wanda moved to Chicago and went to airline training. Upon completion, she began her career with United Airline, moving to different cities including Minneapolis, Denver and finally Weston, Florida. Wanda was a dedicated employee and held various positions at United Airlines. She enjoyed reading, traveling and gardening.
Wanda is survived by three sisters, Marcella Slettedahl of Roseville, Gloria Erickson of Alexandria, and Helen (Bruce) Christopherson of Granite Falls; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Wanda is preceded in death by her parents, Elvin and Thea Kraakaas.
