Walter Leek

Walter Raymond Leek was born July 18, 1926, in Kandiyohi, Minnesota, the son of Raymond & Emma (Klenke) Leek. He attended school in Clara City. Walter served his country in the United States Army, serving in Japan, during World War II. He was honorably discharged on December 3, 1946. Walter returned to the Clara City area and farmed in Stoneham Township until his retirement. Walter passed away peacefully on March 3, 2008, at the Clara City Care Center. He was 81 years old. He is survived by his sister Helen Leek Calistro of Coon Rapids; sister-in-law Ellen Leek; cousin Clarence (Mary) Klenke of Clara City; aunt Dorothy Lindblad; nieces, nephews and good friend Dale Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Milo.
