Vivian Lucille Molden was born on May 9, 1934, in Rosewood Township, rural Montevideo, the daughter of Emil and Myrtle (Johnson) Christenson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo and attended District 24 country school. She graduated from Milan Public School in 1952. For many years, Vivian worked at the Milan Standard and operated the linotype machine. She engaged in house cleaning, catering with her best friend Beatrice, assisted her husband in their farming operation and was a devoted homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Vivian enjoyed league softball and bowling. She was a faithful member of Big Bend Lutheran Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She loved to play cards, word games and especially enjoyed watching Jeopardy with her children and Pastor Keith. She enjoyed listening to Ron play music with their friends, but was happiest when dancing with the love of her life. She truly treasured the time she spent with her family and friends. Vivian was called peacefully from this life while at her residence on Saturday March 14, 2015, in the loving presence of family. She was 80 years of age. Surviving her are her children- Carleen (& Wally) Snyder, Reed (& Jody) Molden, Rick (& Alissa) Molden and Carmen (& Aaron) BeMiller; grandchildren- Cara Snyder, Tyson (& Kristina) Snyder, Trent (& fiancé Kaddie) Snyder, Alyse (& special friend Joey Martinez) Molden, Kalie Molden, Nicholas Molden and Sean Molden, her twin brother Vernon Christenson and her sister Lois (Charles) Sahr. Preceding Vivian in death were her husband Ron; her parents Emil & Myrtle; one brother Clint Christenson; 3 sisters- Erma Erickson, Clarice Ward and Myrtle Johnson.
