Vicki Sorenson

Vicki Lynn Sorenson was born March 19, 1952, in Ortonville, the daughter of Dwain & Betty Block. She was baptized in Bellingham and confirmed in Correll at the EUB Church. Vicki went to school in Correll and graduated from the Chokio-Alberta High School. Vicki was united in marriage with Elwood Sorenson on October 13, 1972, in Watertown, South Dakota. She was active with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Vicki also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen and was famous for her potato salad.Vicki passed away on Monday, December 16, 2013, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. She was 61 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Elwood; two sons: Erik (Allison) and Krist (Barb); mother Betty Shelstad all of Montevideo; step daughter: Allyson McDonald of Hammond, Wisconsin; grandchildren: Anais, Enan, Karter, Shane, and Anna Sorenson; step grandchildren: Alex and Amber McDonald; siblings: Mike (Mary) Block of Correll; Beth (Pat) Schroeder of Canby; Donna Wilberg of Alexandria and Debi Shelstad of Montevideo; and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father Dwain, stepfather Maynard Shelstad; brother-in-law Lyndon Wilberg and her in-laws Alice and John Skjei.
