Verlyn Anspach

March 1, 1943 — July 16, 2009

Verlyn C. Anspach was born March 1, 1943, the son of Clifford and Anna Anspach. He was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. Verlyn attended Montevideo Public Schools. Verlyn was united in marriage to Nancy Day on December 26, 1964. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the 49er Operators. For twenty plus years, during the fall of the year, he worked for the Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Company as a piler operator. Verlyn also had a love for hunting, fishing and antiquing. He passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2009, at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital. He was 66 years of age.He is survived by his wife Nancy; daughter Shannon (DeWayne) Kurtenbach of Boyd; son Scott (Shelly) Anspach of Montevideo; nine grandchildren: Joslyn, Chelsie, Allen, Kaitlyn, Jade, Cole, Brett, Austin and Hunter; two sisters: Veronica (Ronald) Denius and Vernice (Gerry) Takumi; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Vernon, Virgil and Virdeen; and one sister Virginia.
