Tracy Leenerts, 40, of Granite Falls, died Wednesday, August 26th following a courageous battle with cancer. A celebration of life will be held at 11 am Monday at Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Burial will be held at Granite Falls City Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
Tracy Lynn Leenerts was born November 22, 1974, the daughter of Bruce & Linda Hildahl, in Granite Falls. She was baptized and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. She graduated from the Granite Falls High School in 1993.

Tracy was united in marriage to Gerrod A. Leenerts on August 24, 1996 at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Tracy shared her joyful heart with many people, through customer care, at her various jobs. Over the years she worked at the Clarkfield Care Center, Granite Falls Hospital and Manor, Fagen’s, Sherburne State Bank in Becker, and Devon’s Hometown Foods in Rosholt, South Dakota. Tracy enjoyed cleaning, painting, and most of all her dog Buggs.
Tracy returned to Granite Falls, where she was surrounded by many loving family and friends as she courageously battled her cancer. She passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the age of 40 years.
She is survived by her parents Bruce Hildahl and Linda Hildahl (friend Joe Kittl) all of Granite Falls; sister Stacy (Ron) Banken of Big Lake; brother Jason Hildahl (friend Chantell Slagter) of Clara City; grandmother Eunice Sorenson of Granite Falls; six nieces: Brynn & Brooke Banken; Calla & Caydence Hildahl; Narria and Everra Leenerts; nephew Gerrod T. Leenerts; mother-in-law Sarah LaBatte (Roger Abernathy); brothers-in-law Travis (Jessica) Leenerts and Derek Leenerts; one special dog “Buggs” and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerrord Leenerts; maternal grandfather Melvin Sorenson and paternal grandparents Gordon & Florence Hildahl.
