Thelma Puelston

Thelma L. Puelston passed away at the Riverside Assisted Living on Nov. 25, 2013 at the age of 93 years 11 months and 15 days. She was born December 10, 1919 to Henry and Gunhild Lovald on the farm ½ mile east of Milroy, MN. After graduating valedictorian of her class, she took legal secretary classes at Minnesota School of Business. For a few years, she worked for a group of lawyers before being employed by Puelston and Gunn Associates. On May 14, 1954 she married Roy Puelston in Worth County Iowa.She became a house wife to Roy for 17 years; the last 5 years caring for him as his health failed.Thelma remained in their home until the age of 80 at which time she moved to Skyview Estates, and then to Granite Ridge and the last year and a half she was at Riverside in Granite Falls.She was active at Shepherd of the Hills Church Lutheran Church in Edina, MN and looked after two young children next door. She loved book work and investing. She was very independent and did all her own work at home. She is the last of four brothers and three sisters. She had no children of her own. She is survived by Darlene Knutson and Brad and (Christy) Beebout and several other nieces and nephews. Grave side serves will take place this coming spring in Milroy.
