Thelma Frederickson

March 13, 1921 — May 26, 2009

Thelma Margaret Frederickson was the first born to Ole & Anna Dahl on March 13, 1921. She graduated from the Sacred Heart High School in 1939. Thelma attended St. Cloud State College and began her teaching career at rural Hector. She later taught at Boyd, Milan, Cloquet, Willmar and Sacred Heart. She retired in 1982 after 40 years in education. She was united in marriage to Ellsworth Frederickson on June 16, 1951, in Sacred Heart. They spent their married life on the Frederickson farm west of Sacred Heart, a farm that had been in the family for three generations. In 1999, they moved to Renville. Thelma enjoyed many crafts in her retirement years such as hardanger stitching, quilting and card playing. She was also active in the ELCW at Hawk Creek Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband; two brothers: Otis Dahl of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Stanley (Ruby) Dahl of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; one sister Doris Spence of Seattle, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Ruth Fredrickson, Joyce Snook & Beatrice Dahl; and one brother Willard Dahl.
