Terry Smith, age 52, of Montevideo passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at his home at Meadow Creek after battling serious health issues. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with interment in the church cemetery.
Terry Robert Smith was born on April 18, 1970 in Fargo, North Dakota. He was brought home to his loving parents, Stanley and Judith (Montagne) Smith to Minnesota. Terry attended school in Brainerd, Minnesota and spent most of his life there.
Terry was very bright and resourceful. He read every volume of the Encyclopedia by the time he was 16. Terry knew a little bit about everything. He enjoyed working with his hands taking things apart and rebuilding them and working outdoors. Terry was always joking and trying to make others laugh and smile. He loved the holidays, especially Christmas and playing video games.
Terry is survived by his parents, Stan and Judi Smith of Montevideo; children, Jake, Caitlyn, Sierra, Kira; sister, Pam; as well as other relatives and friends.
