Terry Sletten

Born on Tuesday, July 26, 1955 in Montevideo, Minnesota as one of five children to Walter and LaVonne Sletten, he was baptized Terry Wayne Sletten at Saron Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo. Terry was confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church on May 17, 1970. He died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 5th at the age of 57 years. Terry's formal education was as a student of Montevideo High School graduating with his class in 1973. He continued his education at Ridgewater College in Willmar after which he returned to his love of farming. He also drove truck during sugar beet harvest. On September 27, 1980, Terry and Cheryl Susan Gossen were married at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. Their union was blessed with two sons. In his spare time, Terry enjoyed working on cars, carpentry, construction, putting together puzzles, playing cards, and the challenge of fixing broken things as well as tearing things apart. Terry leaves behind his wife Cheryl and their sons Adam and Shawn all of Montevideo, his parents LaVonne and Wally Sletten of Montevideo, his siblings and their families: Odell of Maple Grove, David of Montevideo, Heidi of Montevideo and Tim of Huron, South Dakota. Preceding him in death were his grandparents Joseph and Josie Sletten and Oscar and Helen Nygaard.
