Susan B. Stahnke, age 55, of Montevideo, died late Thursday evening at her residence surrounded by her family. A private gathering with family and friends is being planned for a later date.
Susan Beth Stahnke was born on Nov. 16, 1962 in Cambridge, MN, the daughter of Thomas and Lois (Pearson) Stahnke. She was one of nine children. She attended elementary school and high school in Cambridge and on May 3, 1986, she was united in marriage to Michael Wimmer of Pine City, MN.
She and Michael move to Onamia, MN and had two daughters- Ratosha and Jessica. Susan was the manager of the Gateway Café and enjoyed spending her time outside doing the things she loved- fishing, hunting, and gardening. She loved spending time with her family and 7 grandchildren. They were her pride and joy. She also loved dancing and listening to country music.
Surviving family include her two daughters- Jessica Wimmer (& James) of Montevideo, Ratosha Scholl (& Jon) of Milaca; her parents Thomas & Lois Stahnke of Braham; her brother Randy Stahnke of Ham Lake; five sisters- Jennifer Davis of Braham, Pam Brite of Braham, Cheryl Noren of Sandstone, Debbie Handt of Finlayson, and Annie Vanderhelm of Menomonie; grandchildren Jaden, Nathaniel, Riley, Landon, Brayden, Bay and Nevaeh.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers- Scott & Leslie Stahnke and grandmother Karen Woodland.
