Steven W Flygare
August 22, 1953 — June 6, 2015
Steven Wayne Flygare was born August 22, 1953, in Willmar, the son of Donaven & Edna (Lund) Flygare. He graduated from the Clara City High School. He spent most of his life as a resident of Clara City and Maynard. Steve was a devoted son of his parents their entire lives and especially in their later years when they experienced health issues.
Steve loved fishing, riding his motorcycle and working in his garden. Each fall he looked forward to canning and making his famous salsa. His faithful and loving dogs, Nicki and Pepper, were never far away from Steve and will miss their master immensely. He loved a good joke, had a memorable laugh and a great sense of humor. Steve had worked for Berghuis Company, Carrgil Inc., Central Hotmix and recently Trans Systems and always worked holidays for those who were married with children. Although Steve had no children, he was considered a member of the Stavne family of Maynard and thought of Pete & Sue’s children, Christal and Shane, as his own.
Steve lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 6, 2015. He was 61 years of age.
He is survived by his nephew Todd (Sarah) Flygare of Vadnais Heights; sister-in-law Lynn VanAllen Flygare (Roger Davidson) of Excelsior; cousins: Sandy (Henry) Cheng of Sacramento, California, Kitty (Louis) Lopez of Los Alamitos, California, Russell (Karen) Hansen of Laporte and Douglas Hansen of Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother David Donaven Flygare.
