Steven was born on November 13, 1954, in Montevideo, the son of Richard & Mary Macziewski. He was baptized on December 5, 1954, in Trinity of Havelock Lutheran Church northeast of Montevideo and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Montevideo. Steven grew up and attended school in Montevideo, graduating from Montevideo Senior High School in 1973. While in high school, Steve participated in FFA and excelled as a Montevideo Mohawk wrestler. Steven was an avid outdoorsman. His life's passion was being outdoors hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Turkey Federation and several snowmobile clubs. As a young man, he fell in love with the Black Hills area and made his residence near Newcastle, Wyoming where he managed the Buckhorn Bar & Lounge. He especially looked forward to this time of year when the bar would be patronized by hundreds of bikers during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. On Wednesday, July 21, 2010, Steve was called from this life near the Deadwood-Lead, South Dakota area while traveling home. He was 55 years of age."Brush" will be fondly remembered as a ?country boy? who made friends easily and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. May God bless his memory. He is survived by his parents- Richard & Mary Macziewski of Alexandria, sister- Susan (& Stan) Kleinhuizen of Alexandria, brothers- Gary Macziewski and Rick (& Sandra) Macziewski of Montevideo. He is also survived by his companion "Smokey" and eight nieces & nephews- Andrew, Michelle, Wendy, Timothy & Daniel Macziewski & Erick, Alan & Lee Meyer.
