Sophie Golden

Sophie Dahl Golden was born in Appleton, Minnesota to John and Anna Dahl on August 8th, 1920. She grew up in Appleton where she was confirmed at Minnesota Valley Lutheran Church and graduated with the High School Class of 1938.On August 4, 1943, Sophie was united in marriage to Thomas LeRoy Golden in Minneapolis. The young couple made their home in Montevideo and remained devoted to one another until Thomas? death in 1992. Their union was blessed with two daughters. In addition to carrying for her family, Sophie worked at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital for over 25 years. In 2004, she moved to Glencoe to be closer to her family.At the age of 90, Sophie was called from her earthly home on June 15th while a resident of Glencoe Regional Health Services. Cherishing her memory are her daughters: Patricia & Glen Chadderdon of St. Peter and Mary & Roger Gronholz of Glencoe; 4 grandsons: Tim Chadderdon, Marc & Betsy Chadderdon, Paul & Kim Gronholz and Scott & Amy Gronholz; and 10 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas in 1992, her parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
