Shirley Burns

Shirley Mae Burns was born September 10, 1929, in Montevideo, Minnesota, to Arthur and Vivien (Tibbets) Peterson. Shirley grew up in Montevideo and graduated from the Montevideo High School.
Shirley made her home locally in Maynard and Granite Falls. She was blessed with three children, Sandra, Debra and Patrick.
Shirley worked for the City of Maynard as their City Clerk and also worked for the City of Granite Falls.
Shirley enjoyed quilting and sewing, making many items for her family through the years. She cherished time spent with her family and her grandchildren and great grandchildren were the highlights.
Shirley is survived by her children, Sandra (Jon) Fundingsland of Stillwater, MN, Debra (Joe) Riley of Granite Falls, MN, Patrick (Lori) Schadeck of Stillwater, MN; 4 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Vivien Peterson; husband, Harold “Shorty” Burns.
A Private Family Burial will take place in the Spring.
