Shawn Mead

Shawn Michael Mead was born December 26th, 1980 in Canby, MN to Duane and Debra (Harberts) Mead. He graduated school from Yellow Medicine East in Granite Falls. He was baptized and confirmed through United Church of Christ.
On June 13th, 2005, he was married to Jennifer Abner in Las Vegas. After graduation, he was employed through Kollen Motors, Picht's Auto Body, and currently was employed at Ametek. Shawn mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife, his children, family and friends and his dog Ruby. He was very much a home body and family man enjoying drawing, martial arts, video gaming, and having the silliest giggle heard within a mile radius. He was very comical and known for making individuals around him smile. Shawn was always a kind and different soul from the average norm and wasn't afraid to show it. You always knew what you were going to get from him and the consistency of his demure made him the special individual he was and dearly loved.
Shawn passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the age of 36 years.
He is remembered by his wife Jennifer, his children Amara, Drake, Calvin; grand-child Gracie Lynn; his parents Deb and Duane, sister Kari (Pat), brothers Chad (Amanda) Jared (Roxanne), nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends; mother in law Judy Abner.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Clarence and Irene Harberts, paternal grandfather Warren Mead, aunts and uncles; and father in law James Abner.
