Sean Skogrand, 53, of Granite Falls, passed away Thursday, January 28th at his residence. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4th from noon till 2:00 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls. A family graveside service will be held at Granite Falls City Cemetery.
Sean Steven Skogrand was born August 16, 1967, the son of Steven and Sheryl (Twedt) Skogrand, in Edina.  He was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church.  He graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1985.  He continued his education in Moorhead and Mankato.  He began working at Impact Plastics, and this is where he met his wife Dana, as they worked on the assembly line. He then went to work for Northern State Power in Granite Falls for 15 years. He was the last employee when the NSP Plant closed.  Sean then went to work for Granite Falls Energy in 2006 and was the Chief Boiler Operator.
Sean was united in marriage to Dana Larson on July 18, 1998 at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Sean had a number of hobbies over the years, including racing dirt track - Sean started racing with the help of Kling Farms and continued on from there with the support of many friends for a number of years. He enjoyed dirt biking with his son Brady and participating in various pool leagues. Sean truly loved spending time with his family and friends - camping in Timm Park and taking annual trips to the BIR drag races in Brainerd with his wife Dana.
Sean is survived by his wife Dana, children: Dora of Granite Falls and Brady of Paynesville, grandson Alex, his mother Sheryl of Granite Falls and father Steve of Shakopee, brother Chad (Joey) of Shakopee, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
