Scott Yeager

Scott Trevor Yeager was born on January 6, 1971, in Granite Falls, MN, the son of David and Darlene Yeager. He was baptized on February 7, 1971, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls and confirmed in the Lutheran faith on May 4, 1986, also at St. Paul Lutheran Church. He graduated from Granite Falls High school in 1989 and graduated from Minnesota West Technical College in Granite Falls in 1991 with a degree in accounting. Scott was united in marriage to Lisa Christenson on April 23, 1994, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls and this union was blessed with the birth of a daughter- Brittany. Scott worked as manager of the Super 8 Motel in Granite Falls and at DeToy's Family Restaurant. From 1996 ? 2000, he worked in the T & M Department at Fagen, Inc. and from 2000 to the present time, Scott was employed as the Corporate Insurance Director for Fagen, Inc. He truly loved his job and enjoyed getting to know his fellow co-workers. Scott enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughter Brittany. He liked to cook, garden, go camping, fishing, work outdoors, cut wood and ride bike with Brittany. He was also involved in the local Relay For Life fund raising event and was always ready to lend a helping hand to someone in need. He had a close personal relationship with his church and served as Congregational Chairman and Elder. He assisted in vacation Bible School and helped build the church float for the Western Fest celebration.Scott was an absolute believer in God's word and in Jesus? saving grace. He was called from this life on Friday, March 11, 2011, at the Granite Falls Municipal Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was 40 years of age.He is survived by his wife Lisa and daughter, Brittany, both of Granite Falls, MN; his parents, David and Darlene Yeager, also of Granite Falls, MN; brothers Michael Yeager of Carver, MN and Jerrod (& Stefanie) Yeager of Chanhassen, MN; mother-in-law, JoAnn Christenson of Montevideo, MN; a sister-in-law, Laurie Yeager of Chaska, MN; brothers-in-law, David Christenson of Montevideo, MN and Mike (& Kris) Christenson of Hanover, MN; maternal grandmother, Caroline Zahn of Ortonville, MN; nieces & nephews- Madelynn Yeager of Chanhassen, MN, Kaylee & Chandler Christenson of Montevideo, MN and Nicole & Sam Christenson of Hanover, MN; several aunts, uncles and extended family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Zahn; paternal grandparents, Ory & Eunice Yeager; brother, Brian Yeager; uncle, Dale Zahn and his father-in-law, Robert Christenson.
