Scott Hemingson was born March 2, 1958, the son of Marvin and Margaret Hemingson of Granite Falls, Minnesota. He graduated from Yellow Medicine East in Granite Falls. In his younger years, Scott enjoyed traveling with his uncle, Irving Hemingson and helping with his magic act. Scott went on to become an independent licensed carpenter, and was rated as the fifth best carpenter in the state of Iowa. He loved his work and travel that it involved.
Scott was raised and confirmed in the Catholic faith and continued to have a strong faith throughout his life. Scott loved football, boating, fishing, gardening, camping, traveling and working on cars. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers. Scott raised dogs for many years: he also had a soft spot for cocker spaniels and he loved bald eagles.
Scott passed away on April 30, 2017, after an extended battle with multiple health issues. Blessed be his memory.
Scott is survived by his best friend Katina Moore of Harris, Iowa; four children: Joel Jordet of Center City, Minnesota; John (Safia) Bulman of Hancock, Minnesota; Peggy (Dan) Smith of Holloway, Minnesota and Danny (Michelle) Bulman of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; five grandchildren; siblings: Richard (Samantha) Hemingson, Nancy Aurelius, JoAnne (Jim) Hanson, Patrice (Ron) Schulte, Philip Hemingson and Thomas (Cindy) Hemingson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
