Scott Hegna

Scott Hegna, 59, of Granite Falls, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at his residence. Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 14th at 11:00 am at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 pm at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue on Friday morning one hour prior to services. 

Scott Douglas Hegna was born August 19, 1965, the son of Douglas and Delores Hegna. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Andrew Catholic Church. He attended school in Granite Falls and graduated with the Class of 1984. During High School he was active with football and baseball. He continued his education at Granite Falls AVTI and received a degree in Electronics. 

Scott was united in marriage with Stacey Santjer on June 13, 1987, in Granite Falls. They were blessed with two children: Kristen and Cory. He was an outdoors man and enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, bowling, putzing in his garage, camping, trips to South Dakota and spending time with family and especially his “Peanut” Sadie. Scott worked for Fagen Crane and Equipment for the last 18 ½ years.

Scott is survived by his wife Stacey; daughter Kristen (Andy) Plaisance and granddaughter Sadie Plaisance of Granite Falls; sister Mary (Daryl) Berg of Henderson; father and mother-in-law Stan & Darlene Santjer of Granite Falls, in-laws: Scott (Val) Santjer of Granite Falls, Val (Mike) Hoffman of New London, Vickie (Mike) Loesch of Kimball and Darcie (Rick) Meyer of Clara City; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Doug & Dorrie and son Cory.
