Rosa Elvida Garcia was born September 12, 1970, the daughter of Feliberto & Santos Medellin, in Laredo, Texas. She was baptized in Encinal, Texas. Rosa attended school in Rankin, Texas.
She will always be remembered as a loving and caring person and for her happy smile.
She loved helping people and loved animals. She would take people in and had a forgiving spirit. Unfortunately, she also struggled with health issues for years. She had her ups and downs like any other and fought to the last minute. An angel to some…A warrior of life.
Rosa passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2015, at her residence in Montevideo. She was 44 years of age.
She is survived by her children: Jose (Shantel Syring) Garcia of St. Cloud; Joel Medellin; Edwardo Rojas; Osvaldo Rojas; Perrla Rojas; Beatriz Garcia and Victoria Medellin all of Montevideo; siblings: Armondo Medellin of California; David Medellin of Willmar; Sandra Medellin of Minneapolis and Robert Medellin of Texas; five grandchildren and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother and daughter Yadira Rojas.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, May 13th at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Montevideo. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
