Robert Rosburg

Robert Lance "Bob" Rosburg was born on Dec. 13, 1938, in Belview, Minnesota, the son of Roger C. and Orla (Loken) Rosburg. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview and attended country school in Redwood County. He later graduated from high school in Mpls. /St. Paul and on June 6, 1983 was united in marriage to Teresa Ramirez in St. Paul, MN. Bob traveled throughout the United States as a young man and had many interesting stories to tell. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for many years and held many other jobs prior to his retirement. At the age of 68, Robert went back to work for Onward Services in Montevideo as a coordinator. He always said that this was his favorite endeavor. Bob was interested in many sports including skeet shooting, target practice, bowling and fishing. He was also an avid (and good) golfer and enjoyed shooting a game of pool, although most who played against him found it difficult to win! Bob was also interested in collecting antiques, old coins and other collectables. He enjoyed assisting Teresa with household chores and liked to cook. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. In the early morning hours of Saturday January 15, 2011, Bob was suddenly called from this life at home. He was 72 years of age. Surviving family include his wife Teresa of Granite Falls, MN; sons Daniel Rohrer of St. Paul, Michael Rosburg of Pensacola, FL, Robert "Beaver" Rosburg of Clarkfield, MN; daughter Kelly Oden of Pensacola, FL, Gretchen Evanson of Highland Park; sons Douglas (& Laura) Ramirez of Granite Falls, MN and David "Tippy" Ramirez of Hastings, MN; grandchildren- Seantae Read of St. Cloud, MN, Dylon (& Brittany) DeVries both of Alexandria, MN, Gage DeVries of Granite Falls, MN, Kylie Ramirez of Granite Falls, MN, Jasper Preer, Jade Perkins and Michael Jet Rosburg all of Pensacola, FL, Jake Rosburg, Jackson Rosburg & Hannah Rosburg all of Clarkfield, MN and Lola Oden of Pensacola, FL. brother Roger (& Rita) Rosburg of Tulsa, OK; sisters Rita Rosburg of St. Croix, WI, and Sonja Szenay of Jordan, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter- Kimberly Rae Rosburg; Paternal and maternal grandparents and several aunts & uncles.
