Robert Gullickson

Robert Allen Gullickson was born June 3, 1945 on the family farm in Swedes Forest Township, rural Belview, the son of Ludvig and Verna (Loken) Gullickson. He passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Granite Falls Manor.
He was baptized at Grace Lutheran Church in Belview and confirmed at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Bob attended Granite Falls High School before joining the U.S. Army Reserve; receiving his honorable discharge in 1971.
On January 22, 1966 Bob was united in marriage to Charlene Ulven at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Clear Lake, South Dakota. To this union three children were born. Together they made their home in Granite Falls.
Bob worked at Richter’s ready-mix and in construction for a short period of time before starting his career at Great Plains Natural Gas Company. In 2006, he retired after 33 years of service.
He enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, camping and spending time at the Belview farm and the cabin. Bob especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife Charlene of Granite Falls; children: Julie (Steve) Schwantes of Belview; Todd (special friend Lisa) Gullickson of Granite Falls; Andrea Gullickson of Granite Falls; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters: Vera Cain of New London, and Marlys (Daryl) Master of New London.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ludvig and Verna Gullickson; sisters: Teresa Goltz, and Cheryl Gullickson; brother: Luverne Gullickson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and one nephew.
