Robert “Bob” Macziewski”, age 76, of Montevideo, Minnesota passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at the Clara City Care Center. Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Montevideo on Friday, November 4, 2022. Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM all at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church.
Robert LuVerne Macziewski was born on January 23, 1946, the first of triplets, to Friebert and Petra (Gimmestad) Macziewski in Montevideo. Robert was baptized and confirmed at Havelock Lutheran Church, rural Montevideo. He attended school and graduated from Montevideo High School Class of 1964. Robert enlisted in the National Guard.
Robert married Julie Mueller on January 2, 1974, and made their home in Montevideo, along with their four children.
Bob worked as a meat cutter at Jonny’s Fairway and a machinist at Victor Fluid Power in Granite Falls and MTI in Montevideo.
The most important time spent for Bob was with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed all sports including the Minnesota Vikings, Twins and Gophers. Bob had a great sense of humor and those that knew him, will not forget him.
Bob is survived by his wife, Julie of Montevideo; son, Kyle (Jennifer) of Montevideo; daughters, Angela Haugerud of Montevideo, Krystal (Jon) Dahlvang of Montevideo, Becky Schellberg of Madison; grandchildren, Jordan (Ashley) Tosel, Savannah Lay, Acadia (Devin) Coil, Christian (Kyah) Dodds, JuliAna Dodds, Kaden Haugerud, Meghan Macziewski, Emily Macziewski, Jase Dahlvang, Casey Schellberg; great grandchildren, Airilana, Charlie, Octavia, Flora; sisters, Phyllis (Mike) Fagen of Montevideo, Julie Iverson of Benson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley Macziewski of Fargo, Arlys Schiesser, Lorrie (Keith) Laumann, Deb (Joe) Gartner, Dennis (Angie) Mueller, Lynda (Kevin) Ruschen, Jimmer (Karen) Halvorson, Dianna Mueller, Shay Halvorson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Robert is preceded in death by parents; triplet brothers, Ronald “Butch” and Roger; son-in-law, Dallas Schellberg, numerous aunts, uncles, and relatives.
