Raymond Robert Leeser was born on July 29, 1939, in Grant County, Potosi, Wisconsin the son of Robert & Rose (Kelley) Leeser. He graduated from the Military Academy in Iowa. Following graduation, he served his country in the United States Marines.
He was employed at the Chrysler Plant in Belvedere, Illinois. He then moved to Las Vegas and worked in the security field. During this time, he enjoyed making authentic Indian weaponry and art.
Ray was united in marriage to Carol on February 14, 1987, in Las Vegas. In 1992, they moved to Olivia, Minnesota, where Ray started selling his art. A few years later they began to travel, selling his artwork at PowWows across the country. In 2004, they moved to Granite Falls where he worked for Chuck Lietzau in Cosmos and some of the other dealers in the area.
Ray passed away on June 28, 2017, at the Granite Falls Hospital. He was 77 years of age.
He is survived by his wife Carol; five children; grandchildren and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 20th at the Assembly of God Church in Granite Falls from 5 to 7 pm. Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls.
