Phyllis Picht

Phyllis A Picht, 82, formerly of Marshall MN went home to the Lord on November 18, 2013 in the Granite Falls Manor. Phyllis was born on November 16, 1931 in Vesta MN, the daughter of Adolf & Hannah (Blankenhagen) Zimmer. She was baptized and confirmed at St John's Lutheran Church in Vesta and attended country school near Milroy. On September 20, 1950 Phyllis was united in marriage to Orville (Chic) L Picht. In 1958 they moved to Marshall MN. Their marriage was blessed with 3 children; Randy, Danny & Lenny. Phyllis was employed by Lloyds Fairway in Marshall as the Produce Manager for 20 years, until the store closed. She then worked at Southside Laundry as Manager/Attendant for 17 years until she retired at the age of 72. Phyllis loved spending time with her family and her dog Buffy, cooking, baking and playing buck euchre. Phyllis is survived by her children: Dan (Diane) of Granite Falls MN, Lenny of Marshall and Daughter-in-Law Deb Picht of Marshall; 3 Granddaughters: Laura (Neil) Smith of Babbitt MN, Julie Picht of Shakopee and Lisa Picht of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Orville (Chic) in 1978, son Randy in 2004, brother Orville, sister Mavis and special friend Dick.
