Phyllis Kjos

Phyllis Irene Kjos was born December 23, 1923 in Brainerd, Minnesota. She died on Sunday evening, February 10th while a patient at the Granite Falls Hospital. Her parents were Clark and Belva Anderson. The family moved to Akeley, Minnesota after a short time and later to Boyd where Phyllis graduated from high school in 1941.She married Norman Kjos on November 18, 1942 in Appleton. Phyllis worked at Western Union in St. Paul when Norman went into military service. She later joined him in Texas. After the war, they lived in Boyd, Montevideo and Granite Falls. Phyllis was a homemaker and worked as a clerk in a department store. The couple has two sons: Michael (& Barb) of Hopkins and Rand (& Shelley) of Apple Valley; grandsons Brett of Lindstrom and Ryan (Ashley) of Round Rock, Texas;granddaughters Kayli and Marisa, great grandson Texan and great granddaughter London.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Norman, her sister Marie, and her half-sister Sharon.
