Pete Anderson

February 9, 1939 — January 1, 2001

Harold 'Pete' Anderson was born February 9, 1939, in Montevideo, Minnesota, the son of Bennie & Myrtle Anderson. He was baptized and confirmed at Saron Lutheran Church. He graduated from the Montevideo High School in 1957. Pete served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in May of 1962. Pete was united in marriage to Nancy Moen on October 13, 1962, at Maynard Lutheran Church. He received a Bachelors Degree in Ag Business from the University of Minnesota in 1967. Pete worked for Sinclair Petroleum in Clear Lake, Iowa, and then moved to Rockwell City, where he was employed with Farmland Industries. In the mid 80?s he sold life insurance for Northwestern Mutual and finished his career at Opportunity Living as Personnel Director in 2001. Pete was an active member of his church and community. His greatest joy was spending time with family and friends at his cabin on Lake Scandi. Pete is survived by his wife Nancy, two sons: David (Nicky) of Manson, Iowa; Joe (Savanna) of Granite Falls, Minnesota; grandchildren: Josh, Colton, Brayton, Shelby, Keaton & Emma; two brothers: John (Gwynne) of Spicer, Minnesota and Jim (BJ) of Port Royal, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Christopher, sister Beverly Larson and his brother Bruce.
