Pearl Florence Jolstad was born in rural Kerkhoven, Minnesota on September 15th, 1922 to Jens and Helga Jolstad. Baptized on February 20th, 1923 in Kerkhoven Lutheran Church, she confirmed her faith on November 25th, 1935 in Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church in rural Montevideo. Her elementary education began in rural Kerkhoven at School District #79 and later in rural Montevideo District #43. She completed her formal education, graduating with the Montevideo High School Class of 1940.Following graduation, Pearl worked at Black and White Café and Sears in Montevideo and Minneapolis, Strutwear Lingerie Factory in Minneapolis and Bell Telephone Company in Willmar.On June 2nd, 1946, she and Clifford Fuller were married in Our Saviors Lutheran Church of Montevideo. The couple lived in Minneapolis and Montevideo before making their home in Clara City. Pearl worked for the Clara City Post Office for 24 years, as bookkeeper for 15 years in the family business-Cliff's Electric Plumbing and Heating as well as serving 40 years as Financial Secretary for Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pearl was a devoted member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, participating in Ladies Aid, Bible Study, quilting groups and delivering Meals on Wheels. During her leisure time, she enjoyed gardening, card games and jigsaw puzzles.At the age of 88, on Thursday morning, February 17th, 2011 while a patient at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital, Pearl was called from her earthly home. Cherishing her memory are her son Royce and his wife Carol of Blaine; her grandchildren Marin (& Josh) Rodewald of Lake City and Benjamin (& Sara) Fuller of Coon Rapids; great grandchildren: Chase Rodewald, Megan Fuller and Emelia Fuller; siblings: Irene (Leslie) Rud of Montevideo, Donald (Arlys) Jolstad of White Bear Township, and Percy (Carolyn) Jolstad of Colorado Springs; many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford in January 1979 and her sisters Mildred and Evelyn.
