Paul Jerome Harguth was born on February 7, 1925, in Montevideo, MN, the son of Walter and Gertrude "Toots" Harguth. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City and attended St. Clara's Elementary School through the 8th grade. Near the end of WWII, Paul was drafted, but he was released following basic training as the Army did not need the numbers.Paul loved the land and farmed all of his life. He raised award winning Holstein milk cows and was a member of the Holstein Friesian Association. He was a faithful and active member of St. Clara Catholic Church. In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 8, 2013, Paul was called from this life while a resident of the Clara City Care Center. He was 88 year of age.He is survived by his brothers- William Harguth of Maynard and Walter (& Marlene) Harguth of Maynard; his nephew Brian (& Brenda) Harguth of Maynard, his niece Beth (& Jason) Bruhn of Willmar, great grandnieces & nephews- Brianna Harguth, Brett Harguth, Brogan Harguth, Benjamin Bruhn and Allison Bruhn. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother- Bernard.
