Patricia Toov

Patricia Jean Toov was born on August 20, 1936 in Porter, MN, the daughter of Bernard and Alvina Olson. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and grew up in the Porter area. She attended high school in Porter, MN and on February 8, 1958, was united in marriage to Clifford Toov in Porter, MN. Pat worked at Brookside Manor for a time and then for 15 years as a cook at Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo, MN. She was Cliff's best friend, devoted wife and a loving mother and grandmother. Pat enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, playing cards, teaching family members how to cook and spending time with her Luther Haven co-workers and grandchildren. The coffee was always on at Pat & Cliff's and even in her final days of illness, Pat maintained her sense of humor and feisty wit. Through Cliff's untiring care and the assistance of Hospice personnel, Pat was able to remain at home during her illness, constantly surrounded by her loving family. She was called from this life in the early evening hours of Tuesday, June 21, 2011, with family at her side. She was 74 years of age.She is survived by her loving husband Clifford of Montevideo, MN; her children- Karen (& Kennan) Schueller of Dawson, MN, Doug Toov (& fiancé Sue Tebben) of Raymond, MN, Michael (& Sara) Toov of Montevideo, MN, Jodi (& Duane) Grussing of Montevideo, MN and David Toov (& fiancé Melissa Severson) of Silver Lake, MN; grandchildren- Holly (& Keith) Nesges, Jackie (& Willy) Mekeel, Jason Schueller (& fiance Vicki Nagel), Ivy Schueller, Ryan Schueller, Erica Clauson, Adam Toov, Matthew Toov, Jessalyn Toov, Jordan (& Ashley) Baldwin; Trisha Baldwin, Brianna Grussing, Nicole Grussing; great grandchildren- Jackson Baldwin, Nathan Nesges, Norah Nesges, Jordin Clauson; sister-in-laws Evelyn Leier of St. Paul, MN, Marjorie (& James) Haugen of Oakdale, MN & Lorraine Miller of Montevideo, MN.Preceding Pat in death were her grandson Nathan Richard Schueller; her parents- Bernard & Alvina Olson; her brother LeRoy Olson and sister Lorraine Dick.
