Norma Fried

Norma Irene (Cronen) Fried was born October 28, 1925, in Clara City, the daughter of Dan and Minnie Cronen. She attended Parochial School in Clara City.Norma was united in marriage to August (Gust) Fried on April 11, 1945. Together they farmed for 43 years. They retired to Clara City in 1988.While a resident of the Clara City Care Center, Norma died peacefully in the late evening hours of Friday, June 25, 2010. She was 84 years old. She is survived by her three children: Bruce (Pat) Fried of Salem, OR; Beverly (Gary) Retzlaff of Lake Lillian, MN; and Gary (Mary) Fried of Red Wing, MN; five grandchildren: Todd, Scott and Jason Noble, and Adam and Kelsey Fried; five great grand children: Shawn Noble, Zach Noble, Alexis Noble, Xavier Noble and Griffen Gus Noble; and her sister Loville Gehrke.Norma was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers & two sisters: Leo Cronen, Vernon Cronen, Elbie Fried, Eva Laughlin; Bernard Cronen & Harold Cronen along with other relatives and friends.
