Myron Andert

August 11, 1936 — November 9, 2009

Myron George "Butch" Andert was born on August 11, 1936, in Morris, MN, the son of Alvin C. and Mae L. (Hendrickson) Andert. He was baptized and confirmed at the Lutheran Church in Alberta, MN and attended school in Alberta. On December 22, 1977, Butch was united in marriage to RoseDelle L. Peterson in Watertown, SD. Butch was employed in the road construction business during his working years and enjoyed doing "handyman" work for anyone that need a helping hand. He liked fishing, camping, building and sitting around a bonfire and racing. Butch was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was always helping Rose with chores around the house, such as canning, making lefse, cooking and anything she needed help with. He was her "Rock".On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009, Butch suffered the effects of an aortic aneurism and was flown to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN. He passed away there, shortly after arrival. He was 73 years old. Surviving family include his loving wife Rose of Granite Falls, MN; his children- Kem (& Joyce) Black of Sacred Heart, MN, Kari (& Chuck) Twedt of Granite Falls, MN and Kelly (& Richard) Schulte also of Granite Falls, MN; grandchildren- Kandi (& Cody) Hess of Plato, MN, Krystal (& Dave) Lien of Dawson, MN, Amber Twedt of Granite Falls, MN, Megan Schulte and special friend Dustin Stone of Granite Falls, MN, Melissa Schulte & special friend Travis Bavier of Redwood Falls, MN; Sabrina (& Shawn) Hagen and Katerina Penske all of Sacred Heart, MN; 10 great grandchildren- Bree, Noah, Davyn, Dysan, Brayden, Cheyenne, Ariel, Tristan, Logan & Zandra; 3 brothers- Harvey, Kenny & David; 2 sisters- Marlene Meyer & Betty Fandel; many friends and extended family.He was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father-in-law, Clifford and Ellen Peterson; his brother John "Skip" Andert; and infant daughter, Becky Andert; grandson Dustin Twedt and two nephews- Travis Andert & Steve Meyer.
