Miriam Dorothy Lewis was born November 24, 1930 in Dows, Iowa the daughter of Daniel and Mary Ingebritson. She passed away Thursday September 27, 2012 at the Clara City Care Center in Clara City, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith as a child in Dows. Miriam grew up and attended school in Dows, Iowa. She later moved to Granite Falls where she graduated from high school.In 1949 Miriam was united in marriage to Roger Lewis at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. To this union four children were born. They made their home in Granite Falls where she cared for the home and worked as a receptionist at the medical center. Miriam enjoyed reading, and had a strong love of music, singing at several church and community functions over the years. She was a member of Granite Falls Lutheran Church and was in bridge club. She is survived by her husband Roger of Granite Falls; children: Valerie (Ken) Buesing of Denver, Colorado; Deborah (Marv) Abe of Portland, Oregon; David (Judith) Lewis of Granbury, Texas; Patricia (Bruce) Lewis of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren: Jason Buesing, Sarah Shinn, Jeremy Abe, Jennifer Lewis, Michael Ray, Donald Ray; great grandchildren: Rylee, Kellan, and Pyper Buesing; sisters: Shirley Weiss of Las Vegas and Bernice (Bob) Hammond of Waterloo, Iowa; and other extended family. Miriam was preceded in death by her parents Daniel and Mary, sisters Evelyn Hanson and Wilma Dotseth; brothers: Donald, Raymond, and Howard Ingebritson.
