Mildred Mabel Holien was born August 27, 1936, the daughter of Otto & Gladys (Henrichs) Penke in Danube, Minnesota. She was baptized in Danube and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Renville. She attended school in Renville.
Millie was united in marriage to Donald Agre on September 11, 1954, in Sacred Heart. Together they had two daughters. Don passed away in March of 1966. She worked at the Warner Plant for many years. She was united in marriage to Kermit Holien on June 26, 1982, in Sacred Heart. They made their home in Maynard. She enjoyed being around people, visiting and going to church. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. Her hobbies included gardening and growing flowers.
Millie passed away on Monday, July 22, 2019, at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 82 years of age.
She is survived by her daughters: Wanda (Jeff) Slettedahl of Montevideo and Carol Christenson of Olivia; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; siblings: Larry Penke, LeRoy Penke, Arlene Penke all of Renville and Gloria (Al) Refsland of Raymond, special friend Bob Abel of Clara City and extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Maynard Penke and two husbands: Don Agre and Kermit Holien.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 26th at 11:00 am at Maynard Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
