May Lindahl Peterson passed away at the age of 93 at the Granite Falls Care center.
May was born in Watertown, SD to Arthur and Clara Lindahl on May 25, 1926. May was raised on a farm near Strandberg, SD and went to country school Troy #1. The family then moved to Milbank, SD where she graduated from Milbank High School.
May worked at a Dime store, and then became a secretary at the ASC office until her marriage to Henry Peterson on May 25, 1945. Three sons were born, Joe, Marlowe and Bradley.
The family moved to Willmar, MN in 1956 where Henry worked at a dry cleaners. In 1962 they moved to Granite Falls, MN where they purchased the Granite Cleaners and retired after 30 years in business.
May lived at Granite Ridge Place for many years eventually moving to the Granite Falls Care Center where she passed away.
May is survived by two sons Joe (Marilyn) Peterson, and Bradley (Cathy) Peterson and daughter-in-law Cindi Peterson, eight grandchildren, Tammy (James) Conklin, Trenton (Kamille) Peterson, Tad (Christina) Peterson, Missy (Charlie) Arneson, Justin Peterson, Ryan (Morgan) Peterson, Corrie Peterson, and Sara (Sabin) Adams.
Great Grandchildren are Kayla Sweany, Kameron Conklin, Jordin and Colten Arneson, Angelisa, Naven, Florence, Tirzah, Vida, Eden, Tamene, and John Mark Peterson. Edwina Peterson, Briar and Luella Adams, Jayden Peterson and one great great grandson Grayson Arneson.
May is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Clara Lindahl, husband Henry Peterson, two brothers Paul, and Clarence Lindahl, and Son Marlowe Peterson.
