Mavis Jane Bennett was born April 24, 1928, in Granite Falls, the daughter of Palmer and Irene Hagen. She passed away Sunday September 22, 2013 at Home Front First Assisted Living in Montevideo. She attained the age of 85 years.She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Congregational Church in Granite Falls. Mavis grew up and attended school in Granite Falls, graduating from Granite Falls High School. Mavis worked as a waitress for over 45 years at Rosy's Supper Club in Montevideo. She enjoyed visiting with people and would always explain her age at her current birthday as ?plenty-nine?. In her free time Mavis liked to go dancing, was a bowler and a golfer, and enjoyed to travel.She is survived by her children: Candace (Steve) Bauer of South St. Paul; Kenneth (Dean Thompson) Klingbile of Mesa, Arizona; Daniel (Beth) Bennett of Montevideo; grandchildren: Eric (Cherie) Bauer; Mitchell (Amy) Bauer, Jenna (Marissa Emerson) Bauer, Lacey (Adam) Parker, Caley (Jason Theisen) Johnson; great grandchildren: Brynn, Lauren, Franklin, Jacob, Fiona, Sylvie, Jack, Haylee, and Max. Mavis is preceded in death by her parents, husband Morris Bennett; and a sister Gwen Hagen.
