Mark Anspach, age 66, of Sacred Heart, MN, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020. Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls with burial following at Granite Falls City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 12:00 - 1:00 PM, one hour prior to the service.
Mark Douglas Anspach was born on March 21, 1954 in Granite Falls, Minnesota, the son of Virdeen and Gloria (Minsaas) Anspach. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and grew up and attended school in Granite Falls, Minnesota.
Mark served his country in the United States Army and following his honorable discharge. He began working as a masonry block and tile laborer employed by Sheily’s. Mark most recently resided in Scared Heart, Minnesota. Mark was a simple man with a simple life. He enjoyed watching football games, fishing, listening to music, cooking, sipping on his beer and baking buns from, his mother Gloria’s recipe. He loved spending time with his family and was known to all as a man who had a heart of gold and stressed to his children to live their lives in an honest, forthright manner. Mark would give you his last dollar if you needed it.
Mark passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020, surrounded by his family. While receiving care at the Waconia Good Samaritan care facility. He was 66 years of age.
Mark is survived by his sons, Adam, Jacob, and Gary; daughter, Brittany; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Becky Sather and Vicky Dolezel as well as extended family. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Virdeen and Gloria Anspach, brothers, Tony, Dennis and Gary.
