Marion Melissa Clark was born on April 9, 1918 in Kensal, North Dakota, the sixth child of Samuel and Mary Atchison. On Friday, August 2, 2013, she died at the Chippewa County Montevideo Hospital at 95 years of age.Marion's family moved to Minnesota in approximately 1924 and she grew up in the Benson, Hancock area. She was united in marriage to Lowell Alton Todd on April 26, 1936 in Benson. The birth of two children, Alton and RoJean, blessed this union. On February 14, 1959 Marion was united in marriage to Francis Clark. The couple farmed northeast of DeGraff and had one son, James Joseph Clark who was killed in an accident on December 22, 1973.Marion's interests were many but her favorites were cooking, golf, embroidery, cards and a special interest she kept secret was poetry. She was a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in DeGraff. After selling their farm, Francis and Marion moved to Benson where she was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church. After Francis? death on December 31, 2005, Marion moved to Montevideo to live with her daughter. In 2011, she moved into Luther Haven Nursing Home in Montevideo where she resided until her death.Marion is survived by her son Alton and Sandra (Hughes) Todd of Mendota Heights, and their three daughters: Lisa Todd of Boston, Mass; Sarah (Todd) and Scott Blansett of Washington, D.C. and Andrea (Todd) and Sean Harlin of Eagan. Her daughter RoJean O'Malley and her five sons, John and Janet (Schwenk) O'Malley of Montevideo, Patrick O'Malley and special friend Lisa Gillespie of Dundus, Michael and Renae (Johnson) O'Malley of Rosemount, Jimmy O'Malley of Montevideo, and Bradley and Shannon (Morris) O'Malley of Lakeville and RoJean's special friend Dave Perry of Appleton. Marion has eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Arnold Atchison of Benson and two sisters, Gladys Wildeboer of Benson and Alice Loen of Starbuck.In addition to her parents, Samuel and Mary Atchison, Marion was preceded in death by her son James Clark, her husband's Lowell Todd and Francis Clark, three sisters, Jessie Todd, June Olson and Grace Hilden, two brothers, Raymond and Leo Atchison and son-in-law James O'Malley.
