Marilyn DeAnn Tepfer, the daughter of Wallace and Alice (Holien) Hendrickson, was born on July 5, 1939, in Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed at Wang Lutheran Church. She graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1957, and then went to work at the Renville County Courthouse in Olivia, Minnesota. She was united in marriage to Russell John Tepfer, on June 6, 1959. They made their homes in Danube, Maynard, and Wang Township before finally moving to Clara City.
Over the years, Marilyn worked various jobs, including the family farm, Town and Country Foods, and Impact Innovations where she was just shy of what would have been her “25th” work anniversary. She had such joy and pride in working there, and during all those years she developed life-long friends.
Marilyn enjoyed many hobbies including: baking, working on floral arrangements, collecting Snow Babies and her Christmas Village. If you were ever lucky enough to taste or receive a pan of her hot caramel rolls you should consider yourself lucky.
Survivors include her children: Pam (and Tony) March of Lake Summerset, Illinois, Jeff (and Barb) of Maynard, Nancy (and Clint) Nielsen of Clara City, Kristi (and Brian) Hilbrands of Clara City; grandchildren: Cory, Ashley, Cody (Emily), Austin (Amber) and Samuel; her siblings: Patricia Bakker of Granite Falls, James (and Kathy) Hendrickson of Granite Falls and Jeanette Hendrickson of Montevideo; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell, brother Donald, and brother-in-law Dale Bakker.
