Marian Mavis Feldhake was born on May 15, 1926, in Montevideo, MN, the daughter of Olaf and Katinka Moe. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith at Immanuel Lutheran Church north of Montevideo, attended country school and graduated from Montevideo High School. On October 26, 1947, Marian was united in marriage to John Boike. They made their home in rural Clara City. Following John's death in November of 1961, Marian moved her family to Montevideo. In January of 1965, Marian married Fred "Bud" Feldhake Jr., in Montevideo. They made their home in rural Montevideo and following Bud's passing in October of 1966, she moved back into Montevideo. Marian was a homemaker and kept busy raising her 6 children. She loved to play cards, bowl, have coffee parties and go to garage sales. After she sold her home, Marian moved into Rosewood Assisted Living. In 2009, she fell and broke her hip, making it necessary for her to undergo physical therapy. At this point, she became a resident of the Clara City Care Center. In May of 2010, Marian's health began to fail and on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at the age of 84 years, Marian died peacefully at the Clara City care Center. She is survived by her children- Jeanne Feldhake of Montevideo, MN; Tom (& Darlene) Feldhake of Montevideo, MN, Scott Boike of Osakis, MN, Fred (& Sheila) Feldhake of Alexandria, MN and Anthony Feldhake of Clara City, MN; grandchildren- Corey (& Kim) Feldhake of Montevideo, MN, Jamie Feldhake (& Lindsay Berger), of Alexandria, MN, Lori (& Bill) Shulund of Spicer, MN, Alex Boike of Mankato, MN, Rikka Jo Boike of Montevideo, MN; Michael Dunn of Michigan, and Jonathon (& Crystal) Boike of Buffalo, MN, Ricky, Kayla & Kyle Feldhake all of Alexandria, MN; great grandchildren- Natalie, Nicole & Norissa Feldhake of Montevideo, MN, Marlorie & Pieper Shulund of Spicer, MN and Alexis & Kierra Berger of Alexandria, MN; sisters- Aletta Ostlie of Burnsville, MN and her twin sister- Margaret (& Loran) Kratz of Montevideo, MN; one son-in-law Ron Dunn of Kentucky and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Preceding Marian in death were her parents; her two husbands; a daughter- Catherine Dunn (in 1984) and brothers James & Roger Moe.
