On Thursday, May 15, 1952, Lynette Faye Fultz was born in Montevideo, Minnesota to Kenneth and Clarice Storlie. She was baptized at Bergen Lutheran Church in rural Granite Falls and later confirmed her faith at the same altar. She and her family were lifelong residents of rural Montevideo and she received her formal education in the Clarkfield schools from where she graduated in 1970. On August 25, 1976, Lynette was married to Mac Fultz. Their union was blessed with two sons, Corey and Erik. Mac and Lynette raised their boys and continued to live in rural Montevideo for 33 years. Over the years, Lynette worked at many different jobs and took great pride in everything she did in all aspects of her life. She was a waitress at Trailways Café and Country Kitchen, restored furniture at The Old Furniture Shop, inspected modular homes and worked at Country Collectibles. She and Mac owned a filling station where she did everything from pumping gas to keeping the books. And, for a number of years, she owned and operated Country Floral. In tribute to her, the family floral arrangements for her service were from her own floral shop in Clarkfield and lovingly crafted by her assistant of 12 years, Janice Peters. Lynette enjoyed working with antiques and being outdoors: fishing with her family, gardening and taking care of her doggies. And when the floral business was slow, she liked to play pogo games on the computer. Dancing with Mac was a cherished memory she often reminisced. But her very favorite thing to do was the time she spent with Kenzie, her only granddaughter. On Tuesday, September 8th, at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital, after a short battle with cancer, Lynette passed away peacefully with her boys at her side. She was 57.She is survived by her sons Corey & Erik, and her granddaughter Kenzie all of rural Montevideo; a cousin Jerome Iverson of rural Montevideo, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and extended family. Preceding Lynette in death was her husband Mac (Max) Fultz, her parents Clarice & Kenneth Storlie, her Aunt Katie & Uncle Harold Iverson and many in-laws.
