Lyle Quigley was born August 20, 1938 in Chippewa County, the son of Roy and (Inez) Uttermark Quigley. He passed away August 4, 2016 at the St. Cloud Hospital.
He grew up and attended school in the Maynard area on the family farm near Wayne’s Corner.
On December 17, 1961 Lyle was united in marriage to Tamara Rick at Watson Lutheran Church. To this union, three children were born.
Lyle served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and received his honorable discharge on December 31, 1964.
He worked in construction before retiring to Gilchrist Lake near Glenwood. Lyle enjoyed being outdoors and activities such as hunting, fishing, and bird watching. He was a member of the American Legion and the NRA.
Lyle is survived by his wife Tami of Barrett, Minnesota; son Todd Quigley of Newcastle, Wyoming; grandchildren: Cameron Quigley and Carson Quigley of Newcastle, mother: Inez Quigley of Sunburg; brothers: Jerald Quigley of Sunburg; Phillip (Jean) Quigley of Montevideo; Richard Quigley of Watson; Doug Quigley of Montevideo; sisters: Phyllis (Garry) Norman of Montevideo; Gloria Quigley of Sunburg; Kathryn Quigley of Willmar; Carol (Vernell) Herberg of Willmar; Patsy (Kevin) Olson of Montevideo; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Quigley, son Kyle Quigley, daughter Jamie Bauer, son-in-law Larry Bauer, grandson Lucas Bauer, and brother Roger Quigley, and brother Pat Quigley, and a sister Pauline Rorvig.
