Funeral Service will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Montevideo. Interment will following at Sunset Cemetery in Montevideo.
Visitation will take place Saturday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Lura Mae "Lurly" Watson, of Montevideo Minnesota passed this life on July 10th, 2018 at CentraCare in St. Cloud, Mn. She was born August 11th, 1928 in Montevideo to Albert and Laura Anderson. She graduated from Montevideo High School in 1946.
After graduating from High School, Lurly worked as an operator for the telephone company in Montevideo.
She married William Watson in 1952. They were blessed with one son, Timothy Mark. After Tim graduated from college, Lurly moved to Redwood City, California where she continued to work for Northern Telecom, for 8 years, before returning to Montevideo where she bought a house and she retired in 1991.
The joy of her life was her grandson, Pierce born December 18, 2014, and she was a loving and very proud grandmother. Lurly loved a good laugh, sharing holidays with family, and visits with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister Lula Rae; her parents; brother Duane Anderson of Montevideo; and sister Lorraine Wheeler of Mendocino, Calif.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her son, Tim, Larissa and grandson Pierce of Tampa Bay, Florida; her brother Arlo (Punk) and Sue Anderson of Montevideo, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
