Lorra May Klinghagen was born on November 25, 1930, in Wang Township, Renville County, MN, the daughter of William J. and May C. (Rothers) Hubert. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Clara Catholic Church in Clara City and attended country school in Dist. 98. She completed her high school education in Sacred Heart, graduating in 1950. Lorra worked for a time as a grocery store clerk in Yock & Meyer Grocery Store and in 1952, transferred to a position in the store warehouse. She was united in marriage to Ervin Klinghagen on February 4, 1953 in Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City. She assisted Ervin in their farming operation near Clara City. Ervin passed away in December of 1989. Lorra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed her many years on the farm and took great pride in her independence. She was recently a resident of the Clara City Nursing Home and died peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday May 6, 2013, while a patient at the Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital in Montevideo. She was 82 years of age. Surviving family include her son Douglas Klinghagen (& Betty Ziegler), of Clara City; her grandchildren- Craig Klinghagen (& Shyan DeRaad) of Clara City, Sandy (& Ariel) Nunez of Mantorville; great grandchildren- Kasjen Klinghagen, Kylie Klinghagen, Alexis Nunez, Gabriella Nunez and Gavin Nunez; her sister- Wilma (& Harm) Heinks of Princeton; 2 sisters-in-law Muriel Hubert of Clara City and Marie Hubert of Sacred Heart; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers- Fred & Edward; a sister and brother-in-law Mabel and Bob Neimeyer; and a brother-in-law Harold Klinghagen.
