Loren Koenen, 58, of Digos City, Philippines, formerly of Montevideo, died on May 31, 2017 in Digos City, after a short battle with cancer. His funeral and burial will take place in Digos City.
Loren was born on August 4, 1958 in Montevideo to LeRoy and Virginia (Hutchens) Koenen. He was baptized and confirmed in Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Montevideo and graduated from Montevideo High School in 1976. Loren earned his master electrician license and owned and operated Double A Electric in Alexandria, Mn.
He is survived by his mother Virginia Koenen of Montevideo, his daughter Ashley Gibbs of Cedar Rapids, IA; son Adam (Leslie) Zeske of Renville; grandchildren: Brady and Mya; sisters Kim (Bob) Molden of Milan, Janell (Patrick) Haugen of Montevideo as well as nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father LeRoy Koenen and his brother-in-law Mark Lia.
