Lois Henke, age 86, of Granite Falls, MN, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Avera Granite Falls Hospital in Granite Falls.
Memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Granite Falls Lutheran Church. Interment will take place this Spring in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will take place Friday, February 4, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Granite Falls Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the church service.
Lois Elaine Henke was born on June 11, 1935, the daughter of Arnold and Josie (Oie) Rakke, in Granite Falls, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She graduated from the Granite Falls High School with the Class of 1953.
Lois was united in marriage with Harlan Henke on June 27, 1959, at Granite Falls Lutheran Church. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and playing cards. Lois was very active in church, the Degree of Honor, counted voting ballots and other community volunteer acts.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Stacy (William) Pollard of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Tyler (Morgan) Pollard of Willmar, Trevor Pollard of St. Cloud; great grandchildren, Blake Pollard and Brooklynn Pollard; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Henke, Nancy Rakke; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Josie Rakke; husband, Harlan; siblings, Ellwin Rakke, Jewell (Mary Ann) Rakke, Jane (Henry) Aalderks.
