Lloyd Koch was born October 5, 1929, the son of Fred & Tonny Koch, in Montevideo. He was baptized on June 15, 1930 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. In 1943 his family moved to Seattle, Washington where he graduated from the Ballard High School in 1948. Lloyd returned to Montevideo where he was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church on March 17, 1949. Lloyd joined the United States Air Force in September of 1951 and served his country until he was honorably discharged in September of 1955. Lloyd was united in marriage to Almira Werner on June 24, 1956, at the St. JohnÂ?s Lutheran Church Ormo Township near Boyd. Together they farmed beginning in 1964. He worked at various jobs while farming and enjoyed many hobbies. He was a member of Minnesota Valley Antique Farm Power and Machinery Association.Lloyd passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2010, at his residence. He was 80 years of age.He is survived by his wife Almira, four children: Venita Ryan of Phoenix, Arizona; Susan Weih of Douglas, Wyoming; Paul (Debbie) Koch of Arcadia, Wisconsin and Joel (Andrea) Koch of Rochester; two granddaughters: Karalena & Abigale; one brother Allan Koch of Seattle, Washington; and extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Nancy Lopez.
