Linda Melde

Linda Ann Melde was born on Monday, January 20, 1947, in Montevideo, Minnesota the daughter of Ole and Hazel (Olson) Melde. She passed away Thursday April 30, 2009 at Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital.Linda was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Baxter Lutheran Church. She grew up in the Dawson area attending school in Dawson.She raised her two daughters Holly and Cecily in Montevideo and worked as a nursing assistant. After more than twenty years working at Luther Haven Nursing Home, Linda retired in December of 2007.She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and co workers at Luther Haven, and in her free time she made birthday books for family and friends.Linda is survived by her daughters: Holly (Scott) Oberg of Montevideo, Minnesota; Cecily (Joel) Melde-Erickson of Evansville, Minnesota; grandchildren: Ben and Ethan Oberg, and Hayden and Emma Erickson; sister: Doris Wilson of Montevideo, Minnesota; brothers: Tom (Lola) Melde of Sandy, Utah; Dennis Melde of Hibbing, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law Mary Melde, and brother-in-law Jerry Wilson.
